Center for Theoretical Physics PAN declares that everyone has the right to request the accessibility of a digital website, a mobile application or any element thereof. It is also possible to request that the information be made available through an alternative means of access, for example, by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc. The request should include the identity of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is being requested and a means of contact. If the requesting person indicates a need to receive information through an alternative means of access, they should also specify a convenient way of presenting the information. The public entity should comply with the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the date of request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall, without delay, inform the person making the request when the fulfillment of the request will be possible, but this deadline cannot be longer than 2 months from the date of making the request. Where digital accessibility cannot be provided, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. If the public entity refuses to comply with the request for accessibility or alternative means of accessing the information, the requesting party may file a complaint about the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or element of the website or mobile application. After the procedure described above has been exhausted, an application may also be made to the Polish Ombudsman.
